The Importance of a Group: How to Transform Your Life

“Two are better than one… If either of them falls down, one can help the other up.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9-10

As networking is the cheat code to life, so is surrounding yourself with like-minded people. Finding a positive group is so important in many ways: For mental, for spiritual, for physical. You receive energy that you surround yourself with and slowly adapt to the circumstances that surround you. Make sure to find a good group and let your life-transformation begin.

The Power of the “Group”

“For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” – Matthew 18:20

Jesus says he is present with you in a group setting, Solomon says walk with the wise to become wise, Paul speaks about the uncorrupt becoming corrupted by the corrupt. Groups are hard to stop, and hard to influence.

Iron sharpens iron.

Looking back at history, there were many powerful groups that were able to influence society. You can reference a simple work-strike group, you can zoom over to ideology parties or take a gander at the secret-societies that ran civilizations.

Groups are powerful.

But for now, we will be digging into the most personalized group, the one where you and a couple of like-minded people can get together and brainstorm. The ones that hold you accountable and are skilled in different areas than yourself. These groups grow self-confidence, allow for a matching energy synchronization, and allow for more fruits to bear on your “tree.”

Groups are also a safety blanket, as you can reflect on your actions and mistakes in a loving, unbiased way. I talk about the power of observation in my book as well as in other blogs, but people tend to mimic their surroundings via empathy.

When one can put their pride to the side and network to a group of similar people, one will inherently become stronger.

If you fall, they pick you up; if they fall, you pick them up. Ideas can be bounced around like basketballs, and a conclusion of compromise can grow into fruition. The same way we go to church on Sundays, or watch YouTube videos to learn, the external physical is way more valuable than a remote viewing.

Learn how to communicate.

  • Aristotle & Alexander the Great (Aristotle taught Alexander the Great how to think and observe, while his father, King Phillip II, taught Alexander how to run a kingdom.)
  • “First Triumvirate” (Consisted of Caesar, Pompey, and Crassus; Caesar was the brain, Pompey was the muscle, and Crassus was the bank.)
  • C.S. Lewis & J.R.R. Tolkien (Also mentioned in my book, J.R.R. Tolkien and C.S> Lewis had a writer’s club, where they created “The Lord of the rings,” and “The Chronicles of Narnia.” Tolkien also converted Lewis to Christianity.)
  • Socrates & Plato (Socrates never wrote, but taught Plato his ideologies and philosophy. We only know who Socrates is through Plato’s writing, and Plato went on to open up the first ever academy.)

Conclusion

Groups are powerful.

you can observe this in history and the present times. I was once someone who thought I could do it on my own, and that I was destined to be a lone wolf. Then, I realized how much I love interaction, and how much I love finding people similarly to me, to then go out and change the world. Whether it is a bible study, a dynamic duo, or an organization; the power of humanity can never be defeated.

The mental blending of driven people cannot be swayed, our internal spirit of the Lord our God will never be defeated, and our God will give us eternal good.

Groups are good, Christians are a group, therefore a Godly group cannot succumb to failure.

God is good.
