How to Raise Your Praying Ability: Build A Temple

“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth.”

– Colossians 3:2

Build Your Perfect Temple

I have spoken before in Power of “I Am” about the importance of using your brain as a life hack. Whether it helps to feel more gracious in your environment, personal usage of positive affirmations to lift your spirit, or feeling more present, using your imagination is a free tool for bettering yourself. God gave us a receiving mind that can enact true feelings and emotion through imaginative scenarios.

Now, when the night falls and you lay in bed at night, I want you to build yourself a perfect temple, one that does not exist today. One that is only yours, that you can go to, to finish your day on an even higher note. This temple in your mind, will result in two things: The ability for your physical self to truly feel like you are praying in the highest spiritual place possible, and allow your body the ability to think it is currently residing in the most beautiful temple ever built.

Quick reminder, when you use your imagination, your body cannot discern from what is real and fake, so your body will truly believe it is in this temple praying to Jesus.

Why is this important?

At first, it will be really hard to truly make a temple. The temple is something that has to be worked on over time and will simultaneously train your brain to be more creative and receptive. Another thing is, is that it will be really hard to think about this temple at night. This means you are doing something right. If at any time you feel it is hard to pray, that is because someone out there does not want you to.

And the harder something is, the better the path you are on.

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”

– Ephesians 6:11

Going to your nightly temple will allow you a piece of the armor of God. This is now your safe space, a place that you have created to spiritually pray at your best. A place where no evil thought can tempt you. a place where it is you, your imagination, and the God above. Imagine being able to pray at the Holy Sepulchre, the area where Jesus was crucified and resurrected.

How powerful would this prayer be, and feel?

Now, you get to have this powerful-feeling prayer every night, as you now have architected your perfect temple in your brain, while your physical body gets tricked into thinking it is physically at that location. Your spirit meets your flesh, while your nerves meet the sensation of the perfect temple.

Is this not amazing how God created us?

Quick takeaways

  • Build a temple in your head, that you will pray in every night.
  • Set the scenery: what kind of statues will be in there? What are the statues made out of? What is the material of the place you will kneel in your temple to pray? Is there a choir? Can you understand the words or is it just angelic? Are there massive pillars? Colorful windows? Will your voice echo?
  • Imagining your perfect temple will trick your body into thinking the temple is real through the subconscious, which in response allows your prayers to have more feeling and spirit. This enhances your prayers tenfold.
  • This temple allows your energy to shift into a mentally powerful state of receiving and believing.
  • Go to this place every night to reset for the following day and strengthen your ability to serve the lord with a bold soul.
