100 Ways to Get 1% Better

Each way is 1%; you must get 1% better every day. Obviously not all can be done daily, so pick a few that call to you and engrain it in your mind. Turn it into a daily routine and become unstoppable.

Spiritually

  3. Memorize a bible verse daily.
  4. Compliment one person.
  5. Express gratitude to someone who has impacted you positively.
  6. Fear and Love God equally.
  7. Start reading the Bible front to back; whether it is one verse a day, or one chapter. Something is better than nothing.
  8. Choose a person from the Bible and try to embody their virtues.
  9. Volunteer in your community.
  10. Get a like-minded friend that is an accountability partner.
  11. Listen to different Biblical perspectives and come to your own conclusions.

Philosophically

  1. Go out and experience your own philosophy; see if it holds strong, and what your strengths and weaknesses are.
  2. Write in a journal, whether your day has been good or bad. It doesn’t matter what has been written, just get in a habit of actually doing it.
  3. Take bits and pieces of everyone’s personal philosophy.
  4. Learn from your mistakes through self-examination.
  5. See the positive in all philosophies/perspectives, no matter how difficult it is. Find them.
  6. Create your own philosophy.

  8. Never disregard a person’s words due to a personal judgement of character.
  9. Think of yourself in third person, and how a “perfect you” would handle a situation.

Psychologically

  1. Learn how to effectively communicate to different demographics of people.
  2. Create “USPs” of yourself. Be able to sell yourself to others through psychology and communication.
  3. Get so strong psychologically, that you can help others that were once in your boat.
  4. Understand the differences between the conscious mind, the subconscious mind, and the unconscious mind.
  5. Utilize your subconscious “I am” affirmation to visualize your external wants.
  6. Be an active listener; learn how to not talk. This is a small, but strong psychological tactic.

  8. Mentally walk around like you humbly own the place, energy can be felt.
  9. Affirm yourself all the time, do not think negatively about anything.
  10. Speak slow, this unconsciously shows comfortability in situations.
  11. When thinking about self-pity, realize there are people out there that have it worse than you.

Educationally

  1. Slowly begin to learn a second language.
  2. Practice and learn chess; a life-symbol on how to accurately strategize and predict.
  3. Everything that is read, practice doing your own research; take everything at face value.
  4. Learn an instrument; guitar or piano is simple and beautiful.
  5. Understand where an idea origininated.
  6. Learn how to physically defend yourself.
  7. History repeats itself, understand the historical foundation of the present.
  8. Question everything.
  9. Learn and spot fallacies. Understand how people use it to their advantage. This will help to pick a part arguments and better your own personal judgement.
  10. Train your brain on how to pattern recognize, which can help with planning for the future.

Financially

  1. Sacrifice to save.
  2. Start compounding money early; S&P, Roth & Traditional IRAs, CDs.

  5. Understand how to like money but not value it.
  6. Don’t sellout for anything, if you’d do anything for a dollar then you would do anything for a dollar.
  7. Invest into appreciating values, old currency, silver, vintage items.
  8. Think about how an initial purchase can make you mire moeny later on.
  9. When you give money, energy brings it back to you.
  10. Aggressively attack debt.
  11. Never use payment plans.

Artistically

  1. Start sketching, let your hands take over your mind.
  2. Look deeper into paintings and music, and try to personalize it with yourself, and the artist.
  3. Learn about what symbols mean, symbols are very important.
  4. Do not lose yourself in your art.
  5. Stay genuine, your own skills and thoughts allow for uniqueness. Consumers appreciate genuineness.
  6. Allow yourself to be taught and coachable.
  7. Learn about the skills of others and combine to create a perfect storm.
  8. Humans like art because the artists can express themselves better than they can.
  9. Understand that everyone is an artist in their own way.
  10. Practice your art constantly, and consistently.
  11. Life imitates art.

Emotionally

  1. Use your emotions to your advantage.
  2. Understand that feelings do not matter; no one cares. Feelings lead you down the wrong path.
  3. Emotions take away your mask, which allows for your true self to show.
  4. Hiding emotion is dangerous but controlling them is intelligent.
  5. Do not be afraid to put your emotions into your work; sometimes you need a controlled boost. I have written blogs emotionally plenty of times.
  6. Control the controllables, and understand that the present emotions you feel, are from a result of not knowing the future.
  7. Be strong and available for the ones who need it.
  8. Do not respect a person or entity that doesn’t respect you.
  9. Know when not to speak.
  10. You must fix your internal emotion, before you can make an external impact.
  11. Emotions are a weapon to be used for right and wrong, depending on the user.

Physically

  1. Pushups and light shoulder press every morning.
  2. Cut your fast-food in half. This will break the habit of wanting it, while increasing your physical health through dieting.
  3. Fast once a month, start small. This will help to reset your body’s cellular reproduction, and help to kill off anything toxic. (24 hr., 48 hr., 72, hr.)
  4. Keep a clean haircut, you never know when you will have to network.
  5. Use natural products as affordably responsible as possible.
  6. Spend more on clothes, do not shortcut your clothes. This is a symbol of shortcutting your life.
  7. Buy a watch, and create a story about it.
  8. The cleaner you dress, the more productive your day will become.
  9. Stay clean-shaven.
  10. Strong body, strong mind, as said by Teddy Roosevelt.
  11. Stop getting drunk.

Mentally

  1. Go on a daily walk where you simply just think. (This could be in any category.)
  2. Breathing exercises (7 second inhale through nose, 3 second hold, 7 second exhale through mouth.) Tony Robbins also speaks of a very fast-paced inhale through nose, and very fast-paced exhale through mouth.
  3. Listen to calming music during personal time; writing, reading, praying. Instrumental or 432 Hz.
  4. Find a T.V. show, movie, or YouTube series that piques your interest. You have to find balance of griding and creative relaxation.
  5. Look in the direction of the sun. The sun is a human cheat code to peace and mental health.

  7. Value sleep. Sleep is important; allow yourself the ability to reset.
  8. Become motivated by figures that have cracked the code. (Quotes, studies, analyzations.)
  9. Allow music to influence passion and ambition. However, bcareful with certain music.
  10. Put the phone down, do not overthink anything.
  11. Create short-term goals that you do not speak about to others.
