Build Your House on the Rock
As human beings, who had a minimal chance of being born, we walk on this Earth with no purpose. As Christians, we walk on this Earth with the ultimate purpose: Serve others and lead them to eternal life.
With this thought as the foundational principle of life, the branches that spread from this root are justice, goodness, gentleness, and joy. When you have God at your core, your natural add-ons will be steadfast around God.
You cannot be alive without a heart, just as you cannot hate justice without wanting to serve.
The organs in your body are what keep your body alive and in motion; they play key factors to the foundation of you. With this in mind, think of your body as God, (this is a good principle in general,) and think of your extremities as the fruits of the spirit. Now that we know our purpose on Earth is to serve others, you should begin to naturally want to reaffirm justice when necessary.
As service is sacrificing yourself for the helpless, justice is fighting for the helpless.
How You Will Transform with Service
When you set your mind on helping other people, you naturally will become fulfilled and joyful. This will also allow for righteous anger. When you see the poor being taken advantage of by the rich, or the helpless being stripped by the privileged, a divine aggression will take over your body.
This is not a bad thing, as all things can be used for good or bad. If God created all things good, (emotions, tangibles, intangibles, etc.) then anger and aggression cannot be only bad.
Humans distort natural good, for sinful bad.
Serving others will allow yourself to be more grateful for what is around you, will allow you to appreciate the little things, (a hot shower, a bed, a family, etc.) and will allow you to find purpose in this life.
As I have spoken about in my other blogs, people repeatedly stay unconscious, in a vicious cycle of repetition. When you give a gift, or give a compliment, or a give a hug, it snaps them into a conscious state of harmony with their perfect soul. This is on you to do, no matter how you are feeling or what has happened to you, your goal as a Christian is to serve others.
You may go through hardships, you may feel lost, you may not understand the plans that God has for you. But one thing you can do today is serve the ones in a worse spot than you, fight for your helpless brothers and sisters, and lead people to eternal life through your righteousness.
This all stems from service, and all ends with God.
