Life – Alive vs. Dead
One cannot hope to die, while loving life.
I do not mean to fear death because life is good, rather balance out both aspects as beautiful in some retrospect.
Jesus knew he was going to die a horrible death and still valued the time he had on earth.
Some of us are terrified of death, whether it’s because we do not know what happens after, or because we have first-handedly seen the destruction it causes between families and friends.
In an atheistic lens, nothing happens when we die. We return to the ground from where we were made. So, I ask those, why do you value life then? Why do you value morals? Why do you care about what happens in the world? You should have no emotion with this thought in mind.
In an agnostic lens, we believe that death is the end of our flesh, and the return of the spirit. So, I ask those, why be afraid of death? Are we not spiritual beings? Do we not want to escape this world to end up in heaven?
I am alive currently, you are alive currently, why care about what others think? Jesus knew of his tragic outcome; the perfect man sacrificed for the imperfect. He knew his death had more impact than what he did on earth. But he still asked: God, why have you forsaken me?
Life is beautiful, death is beautiful. Do not waste time worrying about one or the other or both. Treat every day like it’s a gift, whether you believe that we go to some magical place or not. I mean it’s either all pointless in the end, or the actions we do on earth will be celebrated in heaven.
We have all experienced death but have never experienced life.
