Power of Prayer

Here is a short list of points about how I have learned to pray:

  1. Every thought is a prayer

You think that the mighty Lord above only listens to your thoughts when you say, “Dear heavenly father?”

Every thought and moment is a prayer.

Through the study of the brain and other blog posts, you will come to realize the power of the brain. Affirming and living in the present affects your health and energy. In your head, you can’t be somber all day, every day, and then pray like a sweet angel in your head after some time.

God is always listening; your body is always listening to your present emotion.

2. Pray through God’s will, not your own

I refer to Jesus asking God to pass the cup only if it is in God’s will. If it is not in God’s path for you, it will not happen. After worship and conversational prayer, the request shall be asked, “If it is in your will, not my own, grant me access in the present.” This will also allow yourself to understand that,

3. God answers all prayers, even if you feel they are not

If your flesh does not like the response to a prayer request through God, it still means that your prayer was answered. If your hopes are up about an opportunity, and it falls through no matter the perfection, then it was in God’s will to say “No.” Think of it as you can do everything perfect in an interview and be told no or feel as though there is no way you are hired, and you are granted the position.

The hardest part about this is allowing your flesh to accept that the prayer was answered, even if you feel it was not. Focusing on God’s will and not your own will allow you to easier understand that God answers all prayers.

4. Be specific

There are many verses you can refer to, where someone asks something of the Lord, and says something along the lines of, “If my prayer is answered, allow this to happen in my life.” The example is on the tip of my tongue, but I cannot think of it at the moment. The point is, is to ask for a simple request if your prayer has been answered.

“If my prayer has been granted to me, allow for me to have a weird conversation with a stranger.”

5. Believe that you have received

This also goes along with believing that God answers all prayers. If you pray for something, and do not wholeheartedly believe that God can grant it to you, then it will not happen.

You are doubting the lottery ticket’s credibility and legitimacy even though the numbers match.

The gospels speak of believing in the prayer and the Lord you are praying too, just as you must love the Lord your God with all of your heart.

From an agnostic point of view, manifesting is praying. You are creating emotion and energy through your subconscious where it tricks yourself into having something even though it is not tangible. It works, and not to appeal to authority, but many people do such a thing.

This is God.
