Jesus fulfilled the law of the old.
Fulfillment is chased by all, whether direct or indirect. The humanistic trinity of joy, gratitude and peace. We try to fulfill with material and greed but forget that fulfillment is strictly internal.
There is a difference between abolishment and fulfillment, although both words mean nearly the same thing. To abolish is to destroy, and to fulfil is to complete. Both result in something never coming back, it just depends on the connotation.
If Jesus came back to abolish the law, the Old Testament is unreadable other than the history. There is no point to learn about the abolished. To add on, the Pharisees would have killed Jesus if he spoke of abolishment. However, he fulfilled the law, dying on the cross for the commandments and sins of the present.
Do you still paint blood on your door for Passover?
Do not trust the people who try to abolish the fulfilled.
People can also indirectly abolish your fulfillment, just like how circumstances make or break your mood. If you are fulfilled with nature, be around like-minded people. This will create social fulfillment.
Hypothetically, let’s say that Jesus’ fulfillment was his crucifixion to symbolize the sacrifice of sin, what would have happened if God let him “pass the cup?” The works would not have been fulfilled, and the resurrection not taken place. We may not even know who he was in the present.
To choose desire over purpose is the abolishment of YOUR fulfillment.
Fulfillment takes sacrifice, but Jesus fulfilled the sacrifices of the old. Be wary of the people who still try to sacrifice like the old and not accept the fulfillment of the new. These people are blind and will not experience spiritual fulfillment, even though they believe in the practices of the old.
